FAQ: "...to neutralize dog urine?"

Image of a dog

Q. Would you recommend I flush the ground really well (although we've had tons of rain) or amend the soil in some way before planting to neutralize dog urine?

A. Flushing usually works, but you could remove the top inch or so of soil in affected areas. Replace with some potting soil, mixing it in with native soil. Then plant on that. It would also be a good idea to take a soil sample to your Cooperative Extension Service for analysis.

Dear reader, if you've had this problem and come up with a good solution, we'd like to hear about it. Let us know in the comment section.
