Results of Community Poll Ending 5 April, 2011

Our Community Poll ending 5 April, asked the question, "Do you save vegetable or flower seeds for planting later?"

Eighty-five percent of respondents said they do save vegetable or flower seeds for planting later. Frankly, I'm surprised (and pleased) at such a large majority. It's too easy to drop in to the local garden center for a few seed packets. But there are so many wonderful open-pollinated varieties that might be lost if seed weren't saved.

Our current Community Poll asks the question, "Are you concerned about eating Genetically Modified (GM) foods?" To participate, go to our Customer Testimonials page and look for the poll in the right-hand side-bar.

Saving seeds is one of my joys. There is just something about a handful of seeds that is so satisfying, knowing that they hold the secret of a new plant.
